David is an experienced community councillor and active volunteer with a number of local groups.

At present David is involved with community woodlands in Wales as a volunteer for the Blaen Bran Community Woodland Group, who are running one of the first regional hubs across Wales where every person can collect a free tree to plant to combat climate change.

Staying with the theme of volunteering, David is a trustee of Torfaen Voluntary Alliance, which look to help local people set up community groups across Torfaen with funding and advice.
